The story unfolds through the eyes of the protagonist Tokako, in a charming small town that spreads the must scent of old books. You don't have to sniff it. You'll effortlessly inhale the fragrance as the plot progresses. Gently, yet engagingly paced, the story plunges you into a sense of comfort, you wouldn't want to let go. There are diverse characters, but very few in number. But the common thread that forges their individual stories into a single string is how each of their lives are renewed through books and literature-inspired adventures. I finished the book with not many annotations. But wherever my highlighter smeared, it marked a familiar triviality that masked significance and depth. Writer Satoshi Yagisawa, did not just gift the readers hope, but simply made our ordinary feelings, extraor
